Otherwise, this airport is also known as Osaka International Airport. Even though Itami airport still has its international status, but all the international flight traffic was passed onto the Kansai International Airport in 1994. There are 21 gates in this airport with a single passenger terminal. There are shops, stores and restaurants available for the passengers to keep themselves busy while they wait for their flights. Along with that, the airport also has a VIP lounge in the central section of the airport that offers refreshments, magazines, newspapers and other essential facilities for the passengers to relax while they wait for their flight to get parked at the bay and is ready to board. There is a renovation plan in the pipeline for upgrading the airport functionalities to allow more flight flow. The infrastructure of the terminal is also about to evolve with more amenities. Except the Airbus A380, all wide body aircrafts can be accommodated by this airport. Starting from chartered flights to regional aircrafts, all type of flights are welcomed at Itami airport.
