Paro is located on the northern slopes of the Himalayas, just south of the Tibetan border, and is known as “the Jewel in the crown”. It is the capital city and main business center for Bhutan.
Paro has become one of the major tourist destinations in the country. The architecture, religion, and culture are unique to this place. Paro was initially a human settlement but later it turned into a commercial hub for its proximity to India and airport.
The weather in Paro in summer is warm and pleasant. The temperature during the day is between 24-33’C, with cool nights. Rainfall is generally not excessive, but rain in the monsoon season can cause floods if it coincides with a new moon or full moon when there is less risk of flooding.
