The King Air is the first model in this family of successful corporate turboprop twins. It was originally designed to meet a US Army requirement for staff/utility transport, and thereafter became available as an unpressurized option with these specifications. The pressurised version – which you can see here flying over one of its many possible destinations – proved more popular among civilians, who are able to enjoy much higher levels of comfort while travelling thanks to this aircraft’s innovative design!
