Speightstown, the second largest of the fourteen major resorts in Barbados, is located on the southwest coast and overlooks the Caribbean Sea. This well-populated sandy peninsula consists of a number of low-lying white sandy beaches and some coral reefs at the western end which lend themselves to snorkeling and scuba diving.
The weather in Speightstown in summer is usually hot and humid with temperatures around 34 degrees Celsius. Autumn is also not too cold in Speightstown, recorded with average highs of 25 degrees Celsius. The winter months are the wettest, but still warm enough to spend time at sea as well as on land.
