Sharjah is located in the United Arab Emirates. It is a coastal city in the northeast part of the country and has a population of almost 500K people. The city has many industries including oil refining, manufacturing of garments, chemicals, and food products.
Sharjah is a historical hub of trade and culture, a region famous for its pearls, sword making, and camel racing. In fact, some historians believe that Sharjah provided much of the inspiration behind ‘The 1001 Arabian Nights’. Today this area has become popular with tourists from far and wide.
The weather in Sharjah in summer is hot and dry with an average temperature of around 75 to 85 degrees Fahrenheit (24-29 degrees Celsius). There is a lot of sunshine as well. The winter brings cooler days that are around 60 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit (15-21 Celsius). Sharjah offers tourists the warm, dry air they crave as well as great shopping possibilities.
