Nikšić is located at the foot of the Komovi mountain range in Montenegro. It is a town famous for its rich history and attractive surroundings. Before it became an industrial center, Nikšić used to be a lively agricultural town with good trade relations with neighboring countries and as most important trading partner towns from the Dubrovnik area.

Nikšić is the second-largest city in Montenegro, and it is located right next to Podgorica, the capital of this Balkan country. It has a population of more than 70 000 people and it was founded in 1272 by King Stefan Uros I of the Serbian Empire.
