Nikšić is located at the foot of the Komovi mountain range in Montenegro. It is a town famous for its rich history and attractive surroundings. Before it became an industrial center, Nikšić used to be a lively agricultural town with good trade relations with neighboring countries and as most important trading partner towns from the Dubrovnik area.

Nikšić is the second-largest city in Montenegro, and it is located right next to Podgorica, the capital of this Balkan country. It can be found on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, about 100 km south of Dubrovnik. It has a population of more than 70 000 people and it was founded in 1272 by King Stefan Uros I of the Serbian Empire.
