Jurong Island is located in the Republic of Singapore, near the western end of Jurong Pier, and is owned by Jurong Town Corporation. The island is one of 36 islands that were originally part of Jurong Island but was separated and named on 12 April 1981 to distinguish it from other islands in the group.
