The BAe 146 (Avro RJ) is a medium-sized commercial aircraft that carries its four jet engines on the fuselage. The high wing provides for very quiet operation, making it ideal at small city airports with many people living nearby. This plane first flew in August 1982 and entered service six months later as an improved cabin model of the original BA146 / Avro RJ85 line which seats up to 100 passengers comfortably while In-flight entertainment can be incorporated into individual seats or screens mounted below overhead stowage compartments.
