The Bombardier Global 5000 is a derivative based on the original and famous Bombardier Global Express, with 0.813 m (32 in) reduction in forward fuselage length, 1,200 nm less range than its predecessor model’s maximum capacity of 7500 nautical miles but up to 19 passengers seating capability as opposed to 14 for some versions of the larger plane. The aircraft was announced on October 25th 2001 with official launch at 5 February 2002 after positive market assessment by interested parties who signed letters of intent for 15 units before it even went into production or left engineering development!
