Aircraft Model BAC 1-11-400

About This Aircraft

The BAC 1-11 is a British jet airliner that was designed and manufactured by the Hunting Aircraft Company in 1960. This aircraft’s first prototype flight occurred 13th July 1965, which unfortunately never ended up going into production as an air carrier company. The companies who were interested at this time included both Imperial Airways (later merged with BOAC to create British United Airways) and Air Holdings Group of airlines for whom it served primarily on its European routes from Manchester Airport where they had their headquarters until 1999 when BA sold them off due to financial pressure post 9/11 – meaning there are no more active carriers using these planes any longer!

In 2006 Jet2 decided to purchase three used ex-British Midland Airlines Airbus A320
