Allahabad airport was built back in 1919 which was earlier an Air Force base. Earlier it was names as Bamrauli Air Force Base. It is located on the outskirts of the Allahabad city, near about 12km. Until 1936, it was being operated as an international airport. The terminal capacity of the Allahabad airport today is only 72 passengers and has very limited facilities.
